1940s Red Yarn Dyed Vintage Fabric

This lovely cotton checked fabric seems to be lightly brushed giving it a very soft feel. It's a woven check in pale red with blue, olive green and pale yellow, unusual and from about the 1940s. We imagine it's a jacquard as the weave varies all over giving the fabric lots of personality. This would be great fabric for crafts, shirts, possibly a skirt and children's play clothing. It's for sale by the half yard/metre.
