1950s Blue Cretonne Monks Weave Fabric

This great 1950s curtain fabric is cretonne with thicker warp threads woven in a basket weave construction of one over two. This fabric is hardwearing, softens with use and is just the thing for curtains and bags but is also great for skirts, cushions and pretty much anything that can handle a thicker fabric. It's not upholstery weight and has a weave that is not super tight. This one is very abstract in shades of blue, cream, brown and cream, it's a Waverly Original Fabric, the design is called 'Laramie' (vat colors scotchgard-plus).
