1950s Cream Rayon Crepe Chameuse
This gorgeous vintage fabric is a half crepe chameuse, soft lustrous satin face and crepe back. It's rayon I believe after a burn test though it does look like silk. I'm selling this one as a dress length because the fabric has a few challenges.
There are some tiny caramel coloured age speckles that are dotted about and to tell the truth do look as if they are part of the design as it's a speckled sort of print. The second thing is some moth holes on one end, I've counted 9 on the last 79cm/31". You could certainly still cut around these as they are tiny, facings, sleeve or collars would be easily cut from this section.
The fabric is just too fantastic to write this one off. Absolutely beautiful colour of dark cream with caramel, red, blue and black in a most unusual striking design. The fabric has been freshly washed in wool wash and line dried. Sorry but free shipping is not available on this item.
