1960s Brown Hipster Mod Wool Fabric

This lovely fabric has survived being stored in a suitcase for quite a while. The fabric is a light woven wool with different colourd threads making the check design. The main colour is chocolate brown and the threads are blue, caramel and black.

It's very unusual fabric in that the reverse side is brushed, so it's lovely and soft. I'm guessing this is done to stop it itching your skin. This fabric would not need lining because of this lovely brushing. However, you could use either side, the brushed side looking like mohair.

This fabric is perfect for a wiggle skirt or a pinafore. It's from the 1950s-60s and is for sale by a large fat quarter (the full width is 154cm).
