1960s Purple Snuggly Wool Fabric Viyella?

This fabric is a light twill weave wool, it's soft and warm without the weight. It's from about the 1960s and is mostly purple in different shades wtih a bright aqua blue highlight. The print is all blurry, soft and mysterious and appears to be one directional going across the width. Wonderful fabric and it's for sale by the half yard/metre.
