New Additions November*

There have been lots of new fabrics entered onto the website this month since I discovered that I was able to drag and drop the photos in rather than wait for them each to up load before moving on. It's really changed my life! So it's been full on this month. Sadly this blog has been neglected.I'll try and remedy that. Meanwhile I've lowered the flat rate shipping fee for international customers from $8 to $6 and currently for Australian customers shipping is set at a flat $1.00 per item (some exclusions do apply). That seems more fair to me.

FAQ

I'm thinking about creating a frequently asked questions page and while thinking about that thought I'd share the number one question I get asked. Probably once a day.....Is your fabric already cut into smaller pieces. I understand the confusion when items are listed in units, but I'm here to tell you now, cutting into a lovely vintage fabric length is not something you do lightly. So the answer is 'NO' - unless the fabric has been already cut when I found it, or had a fault cut out then it is NOT PRE CUT.

I've never seen fabric like this before.

This unusual fabric is a satin, from about the 1950s but it has a brushed back side. So it's warm and soft against your skin, great for winter I imagine, going out in a gown or lovely sleeveless top. It's very unique and I'm about to put it onto the website for sale. Gorgeous pale pink and cream shade with flower silhouette! Have you ever seen anything like it?

October Special $1.00 FLAT RATE (Aust) SHIPPING

Well it's been a busy month so far but not too busy to remember we haven't had a monthly special for a while. Our $1.00 flat rate shipping was very popular last time we offered it. So it's on again, buy as much or as little as you like and have it shipped regular mail to anywhere in Australia for $1.00. Offer ends 31st October! Happy Shopping!

Re direction to VintageFabricAddtict Blog

The problem I have with this blog interface is the photos take too long to enter into the frame, so from now until I've got that sorted please check out what's new at my other blog: http://vintagefabricaddict.blogspot.com/

It's good to be back.

How long does it take to catch up on 2 week's worth of vintage fabric orders? Well I'll tell you, 1 full week! Little did I know that my vacation coincided with everyone wanting to stock up on fabric for special crafty projects. I'm back on board now, all caught up and full of excitement at all the new fabrics I found on my road trip. I've begun to put them into the store, I'm puting the photos in now and will publish them soon with descriptions (see below).

Here are some photos of the trip:

Unusual New Fabrics

I'm taking a short break soon but before that I wanted to get these unusual pieces into the store. This old seersucker has a wonderful print in orange, the silky satin-like fabric is soft and feminine with a delicate line print of poppies and that nylon lace, well I've never seen anything like it before.

I've started tagging my store, if I get it all set up correctly you should be able to click on the tags to show similar items.

I have an idea for next months special but I'm not telling till I'm back after the 15th.

Hope you enjoy looking. Cheers Elizabeth

I put a few of these gorgeous Sanderson manufacturers sample pieces on the website over the last few days. I sill have a couple more to go. There is only one of each. They are the perfect size for cushions and bags.

2 Winter Additions

Tonight I managed to get a couple of snuggly wintery fabrics onto the website. This cream coloured fluffy and soft velvet is cotton, it's rather heavy and has a high pile. It also has a rather unusual print (for velvet). I'd be thinking about some lovely cushions for that. The extra soft brown tartan is just so nice, it's 100% wool and a lovely weight. It would suit a pinafore dress or skirt. Cheers !
